Chinese Wedding

The main colours are red, which is the traditional colour of Chinese festivals.

The bride will wear beautiful red gown, while the groom will wear red mandarin jacket（马褂）. 

The wedding ceremony will usually be separated into two parts. In the morning, 

the groom and his best men will go to the bride’s house to collect his bride. 

Both of the bride’s  parents will sit down, and the new couple will serve tea. 

At the same time, the parents will give them a red pocket as a good wish.

In the afternoon, the couple will meet the guests in front of the restaurant. 

In the evening, there will usually be a feast. All the guests will have dinner, 

and enjoy the happy atmosphere. 

Western Wedding

Western wedding is a romantic type, the whole wedding from beginning to end is full of romance. 

The bride's dress is generally white, the groom is the black dress. The whole 

wedding ceremony will be solemn（庄严的）as western ceremony are mostly held in the church. 

With the rhythm of the Wedding March, the bride will go into the hall with her father. 

Then the bride’s hand will be  given to the groom. 

The minister（牧师）will ask the new couple to make a lifelong promise, 

which is the most important part of the wedding. 

After that, the bride and groom will exchange their rings and kiss each other. There is also 

an interesting tradition. The bride will throw the bouquet to the unmarried women guests. 

The one who catches it will get married soon. This is the wish from the newly married couple.

In the morning, they will have the ceremony, and after the ceremony there will be a buffet.

The wester weddings are usually simple than the Chinese ones.
